The Newport Campbell County Farmers Market is announcing that one of its vendors is giving people a chance to join a meat CSA package.
This is a subscription where subscribers will get fresh meat from farms for four months out of the year. This will typically consist of chicken, beef, or pork, but the fun part is that it’s a surprise each time – you won’t always get the same thing.
The meat will be supplied from farmers who don’t use hormones or antibiotics. The cows, for instance are grass fed, the chickens are free range, and even the pigs are taken care in a humane way. All the meat is checked and packed properly based on standards set by the USDA, which means it’s safe to eat.
